0-18? Let’s be realistic…. first win is going to come after setting a new record for losses, so maybe 1-22…

24 is the longest in nba history…hey only the best and the worst receive recognition…nets are on espn right now…that wouldn’t happen if nets did not have the worst record.

At one point, the losses could affect the team’s ability to market the arena bonds. Marketability of bonds is based on the potential for future earnings, nothing more. If youre an investor who reads the sports pages after the business pages, you might think about the Nets potential for future earnings.

Nets will benefit greatly from the shooting of Dooling and Hayes, once they return. I am hoping Dooling maintains the same shooting stroke he showed last year. Hopefully Alston and Simmons will not see the light of day once these two return.

NI…the team could dramatically change after this season with free agent signings and draft picks…yeah the team sucks now but i dont think the same will be true next season. At least i hope not…

When Lee gets healthy, who is going to play SF? Lee is only 6’4 and is undersized to play SF. TWill has the strength to play SF, but his best position is SG. CDR is lengthy, but will he be able to guard the more physical SFs in the league? Hassel may be the best player suited to play SF defensively, but do we really want him on the floor on the offensive end. I mean, hes had some good games, but he is only a spot-up midrange jumpshooter. I’m looking for the younger kids, who can provide more offense, to play more than the vets who bring limited talent to the floor. IMO, I say we start CDR at the 3, Lee at the 2, and TWill coming off the bench until Hayes comes back. Once Hayes is back, CDR can come off the bench and Hayes can start at SF.

I’m just curious if we’re gonna see that awesome post-injury slump from Yi that goes on for a whole season, yet still earns him praise based on 3 games prior to going down.

we should keep the cores: Lopez, CDR, Twill, Harris, Lee

and get rid of some scrubs.

Plus LeBron(or J.Johnson), Chris Bosh, and a top 3 pick would make this team to be playoffs caliber team.

Unless Lee can show that he is real shooter and was not simply the beneficiary of open looks in Orlando thanks to Dwight, Turk, Nelson, Lewis, etc…. we need to trade 1 of Lee, CDR and T.Will.

We cannot survive with no shooters on the wings.

if he keeps playing like this sure…i think cdr is the leading scorer of the sophomore class.

I was one that believed that Lee should start, but I think he needs to come off the bench now and prove he deserves to be in the starting lineup. I still think CDR should be the 6th man but until lee can prove that he can be productive CDR should start at SG. This also goes for Yi. Boone or Swill should start. Until Yi gets back into game shape.

Sure, because Bobby Simmons is doing so well and has proven he deserves minutes. Even though Lee was mired in a terrible shooting slump when he was healthy, he was still playing the best perimeter D on the team and he was getting to the free throw line at a healthy rate. Start him and let him shoot himself out of his slump.

For all those who continue to dismiss CDR’s performance at both SG and SF positions, shame on you!! GO CDR!! Great player, struggling team.

@ Jeff – I am not along those who continue to dismiss Chris Douglas-Roberts’ performance at either SG or SF, but I feel that his game and Devin Harris’ don’t really complement each other well.

CDR is a starter, PERIOD! How people don’t include him in what they think should be our starting 5 and still consider him a 6th man baffles me! He’s our TOP scorer, do you realize that? Lee needs to earn his starting role, right now I’d start TWill over him. Once everyone is healthy, the rotation should look like this:

Harris; Dooling
CDR; Lee
TWill; Hayes
Yi; SWat
Lopez; Boone

Get rid of Alston, and don’t let Simmons sniff any PT, please!

I watched people make this assumption that CDR and Harris dont play well together after the first 3 games. Against the knicks they did not start together however they played a good portion of minutes together. If anything CDR gained more from having Harris in the lineup because he was able to run on the fastbreak which is something we havent seen all season.

CDR is avering 18 ppg 5 rpg while shooting 47% from the field. He’s clearly our best offensive weapon or at least until Harris gets back to full swing. He’s even shown he can hit jump shots. He’s earned his starting spot..

@ Boomdog – Its been proven that they CAN’T play together because their styles are too similar to each other.
