Nets Up Against Tough Schedule

Was it preparation, effort, execution? Everyone has their theory about what happened Saturday vs. the Wizards, but the bottom line is that they stunk. By all rights, the Nets should have a good chance against Charlotte Monday since the 'Cats are offensively challenged, but if they fall down again, the first win could take some time: their next three games are against Denver, at Philly and then Boston.

$500 says that the Cats outwork the Nets

Do players/teams ever follow through with there pre-season promises. Its every year with this team. “This guys is much better”, “were going to play better defense”, “if we play as a team we can beat anyone”, yada yada yada.

Okay, so we all know this team needs a good power forward to win. Given we won’t make a trade, we make our own. Here’s how. We get CDR to sit on Twill’s sholders then go out and buy a really long Nets jersey. We put it on CDR and hide TWill’s head and body under it. We fool everybody into thinking they are one person.

That way we have a really tall Power Forward that can finish, is fast and athletic, can play defence… etc.

Finally, we’ve solved our power forward problem and we can win some games.

As much as I dont want this, I hope we lose by 20+. There is something wrong with this team and I dont think it is talent.

@NetRicks……..

Again, good PF won’t make up the lack of D from PG, SG, SF & Center…..

It’s Monday early evening, and I just forced myself to watch the DVRed Wizards game. We made this guy Blatche look like Lebron. Who was supposed to be covering this guy? Some of our offense didn’t look that bad, we just couldn’t knock down shots. We got some pretty good looks too. CDR looked pretty good scoring, but he couldn’t stay in front of his man at all.
Brook needs to be the back line on defense, and he wasn’t. Who coaches Brook? He is our most valuable asset. Alston and Lee try to do too much. We missed Devin, we need to shoot better, but the real issue is we couldn’t stop them at all.
It is going to be a long season unless we find our defensive “voice”….

anyone else getting hyped for the draft yet?

Would anything have been different if we won in minny?

by Kevin on Nov 2, 2009 6:25 PM EST reply actions

If we get a 1-3 draft pick in the draft will that cost a lot of cap space money to sign free agents?

by Randy Oreens on Nov 2, 2009 6:43 PM EST reply actions

I always liked Blatche and two years ago, he wanted to sign with the Nets.

Injuries, L. Frank and the lack of a Power Forward are the answers why this team is in the positon they are in.
L. Frank should be made a assistant coach until his salary expires or take a pay cut to walk. Injuried players just need to heal up when time allows. The team cannot panic and make some crazy trade now just to satisfy needs at PF. Wait until the draft of 2010. G. Monroe is the answer. Hire a new coach coach at lower salary if Frank takes a pay cut to walk. K. Jabbar, B. Scott, B. McAdoo or myself. The players are not going to play for L. Frank in the future and they know it. So they tuned him out and are just keeping politically correct about it. One trade I would look at is trading Chicago born B. Simmons for K. Hinrich for this year. Why? A great defender whom could start and backup D. Harris along with allowing Chicago to have Simmons contract for only this year. Salary Cap savings for Chicago to get Wade and Bosh. Nets stilldo well by getting Hinrich over Simmons. Stay nets Fans don’t panic. Go Brooklyn Nets! Go Brooklyn Nets!
