Iannazzone: Nets Exciting but Not Winning

Al Iannazzone, writing for both the Record and YES, thinks the Nets will put an exciting, but not yet winning team on the IZOD floor this season, listing speed, versatility and youth as the team's strengths, but inexperience, the lack of a star and uncertainty at PF as weaknesses. Bottom line: he predicts an "exciting or even surprising one if the kids grow up quickly". More likely: "a 26-to-30 win squad."

i predict 25 wins as the barrier the Nets wont breach!!!

but on the other hand, that can work best for 2010 draft.

we can be top……5 (i think is a fair number)

and sign a real PF (i hope there are some good names coming)

or Sign David Lee from New york and someone else at SG

(wade sounds good!!!)

I say we’ll win something like 22-25 games.

But I don’t care that much about the wins this years. It’s all about player development.

I think it could exciting to watch our kids grow.

Next summer, we’ll land another building block in the draft, and we could sign another young player, maybe someone like Rudy Gay?

Mr. OMG:
Think draft because we do have two picks. C/C.Aldrich of Kansas and PF/G. Monroe of Georgetown. As for your idea of D. Lee. He is a backup PF at best. He plays no defense. Not worth the 7 million he would get from some other team. Coach Frank needs to manage the the games better befotre this team wins more games.

Andres: R. Gay is soft and not worth it either.

I like Monroe a whole lot. Ed Davis could be a nice pick-up, but I think he’s a bit overrated. My fave PF is Derrick Favors. This kid is a flat out stud. He’ll be special.

OK, I know, it’s too early to talk about the draft…

Ratner’s plan was to bottem the team out and then make a run at Lebron and a top 3 #1 pick in the entry draft.

Expect a bottem feeder team and lots of empty seats at The Swamp this season.

23 wins at best, but we will be fun to watch as long as Frank keeps Simmons and other bums off of the floor

The season just started and the Nets don’t even play until tommorow. The way a team starts out the season doesn’t always say everything. I cannot believe how some buy into this. Just wait for the season and we will see who is right after that.
