Devin Harris says the Nets will surprise people, Courtney Lee thinks the team will be good right away and Brook Lopez wants to go deep in the playoffs. Their optimism is not shared by the latest round of punditry, from AP, Sports Xchange by Yahoo!, Sports Network and About.com. But each holds out hope for the Nets rebuilding plan, particularly after the arrival of Mikhail Prokhorov.

I enjoy fortune cookies, tarot cards, crystal balls, Nostradamus, UFO’s, Isaac’s comments, and sports pundits predictions, same as the next guy. I just don’t take them seriously…
