Preseason Game 3 - Nets @ Celtics - Sunday, October 11, 1 p.m.

Devin Harris will sit when the Nets take on the team many think will win the East Sunday. The Nets want him to give his injured ankle a rest. Courtney Lee should be available for the first time, but Lawrence Frank says it will be a game time decision. With Keyon Dooling still rehabbing his injured hip, Rafer Alston will get the start and Terrence Williams, fresh off containing Andre Iguodala, will back him up.

sigh… 0-3 for the Nets
But since this preseason games arent played with the same intensity, ill suppose that our team is saving energy to play harder in the real games.

@mr. Omg
I has to be noted that the first two games we didnt have courtney. DH got hurt in the 3rd last night. LFrank isnt palying the rgular rotation in terms of minutes and then after that the players may not be playing with the same intensity. WE also dont have keyon.

it* this seasons team has potential. FRank is a terrible coach Rod and Kiki are smart but not once do i support a guy who cant properly handle guys minutes, screws up a teams way of playing the game and shouts at NBA players to go go go even though theryre smart enough to recognize the fastbreak.

Just dont bother trying play Trenton, Boone, Yi, Battie, Alston as our starting line up.

lol don’t bother. you guys are funny. I really want to see how good we are with courtney lee in the line up. He is really good. I really think we have a chance at winning this game. We have brook, we have harris. we have CDR and twill. and its a preseason game. This should be the game we really try to play hard in.

I watched the Celtics lose to the Rockets a few nights ago. The Rockets played no one. Half glass full!

Sunday’s game is perhaps the most important pre-season game for the Nets in its history.
Hollah!

We will probably lose the game, I just hope it will be a close game. And hopefully no one on our team will get injured.

Just Play Boone, Sean, Hassle, Simmons and Najera all through out pre-seasonas as first five. Yi,Battie, CDR, Terrence and Alston as bench. All they have to do is use all their fouls for two quarters and see what happen.
Then they can use Harris, Lee, Hayes, Dooling and Brook.

It’s the third pre-season game, not the playoffs. Let’s see what LFRANK does with playing time and rotations. Will Boone and Sean continue to sit? Will Lee see his first playing time? Will they be smart and sit Devin for a week or so, to heal that ankle? I am betting the offense continues to go through Brook at times. I am hoping CDR continues to show us his new and improved game and I hope TWILL continues to get important experience and keeps hitting his shots. I am hopeful, really. Now let’s hope too that Proky passes the background check. GO NETS!

Who cares about preseason wins or losses. Unfortunately, Nets will probably have a bunch in the regular season too, but now is the time to develop young players, rotation, etc.

From the box score it looks like im missing a good game. What happened to T-WIll though?
by jerrod on Oct 11, 2009 2:15 PM EDT reply actions
Wow, only seeing the boxscore great game by Lopez and Yi against though competition, 20 and 8 for both… lets hope Yi can keep it up!
Interesting game by Boone to, and another good game to CDR, and Lee wanst bad to!
I’m very happy with the young core we have, we just need to continue to develop this season and catch a big name in next year free agency!
Good game we played without the two stars that carried the Nets last season Harris and Carter and still played to the last minute!
by Pedro Alves (Portugal) on Oct 11, 2009 3:41 PM EDT reply actions
Talk about playing to the last minute..CDR scored 4 points with 50.5 seconds left in the game! CDR left with 12 pts (6/15), 3 rebs, 4 asts. GREAT GAME for Brook, Yi, and Josh. And that was against BOSTON!! I’m liking this team more and more each game. They just need to more games experience. But these young men are going to shock some of you and please more of you. GO NETS!!!
