Game 37 - Nets @ Bucks - Friday, January 9, 8:30

Reunions are always fun and the Nets-Bucks game will be filled with them. Richard Jefferson plays against the team that traded him. Same with Bobby Simmons. Yi Jianlian plays against the team that drafted him. And Devin Harris will be playing (maybe) in front of hometown fans. The Bucks while improving in the past couple of weeks are still one and a half games behind the Nets in the EC standings.

I think the Bucks fan are going to boo Yi!!!
PLAY YI MORE THAN 30+ MINUTES SO HE CAN GIVE 16+ POINTS AND 6+ REBOUNDS…AND HOPEFULLY A WIN IN MILWAUKEE!!!

The reunion is more for the Bucks than the Nets. I’ll wait for reuniona when Rj comes back to the IZOD to talk about reunions.
But I’d like to give RJ some love. He has been one of the greatest players to ever wear a Nets Jersey. He always did the talking, and he was a fan favorite. He was a great scorer, was known as one of ur better defenders, always played with intensity, and was a team player. I wish he had one all-star appearance as a Net, but hey, he’s an all-star to me.
Anyways, it’s good that both Yi and Simmons have finally been playing well, both contributing, and I hope they can show up against their former teams. Simmons, not only is he knocking down his 3s, he’s actually taken it to the rim a couple of times, and he’s a good rebounder. Yi has confidence right now, and he’s getting more touches and more minutes, which leads to more contributions. 3 straight 20 point + games? maybe.
Now this Bucks team is not bad at all this year.As been said, they are only 1 and a half games behind us, and a win against them will be good come time when were fighting for spots in the playoffs in march and April. RJ may ot be scoring as much, but he’s been playing well. Redd may have missed a few games, but he’s so dangerous from outside, he can get it going at any time. I don’t know if Bogut is playing, but he’s an interesting payer as well. Oh and don’t forget Charlie Villanueva.
Even if it’s an important game, I still don’t want Harris play unless he’s 100% ready to go.
That being said, it’s a must win. This’ll be a close game.

If the Nets play like they did against the Grizzlies, they are going to lose this game. That’s kind of scary. My prediction:
NEW JERSEY NETS 115
MILWAUKEE BUCKS 111
FINAL
LEADERBOARD
POINTS: VINCE CARTER : 31
REBOUNDS: BROOK LOPEZ: 9
ASSISTS: VINCE CARTER : 6

I’m really happy for Yi’s success. I hope he keeps it up. My prediction is that the Nets are showcasing Najera to build trade value with Oklahoma and that they will trade Najera, get a third point guard and move forward with training rookie Anderson.

Maybe we can make a trade involving Najera and Ryan Anderson as the centerpieces, along with an expiring contract like Ager, and maybe a prospect like Swat to try to acquire G-Wallace and someone else from the Bobcats. If we could do that, this team can finish in the 5th seed. But it would need to happen fast.

@Jim and everybody with the idea of getting gerald wallace we dont need wallace hes an ok player and hes not even that young what we need is young talent why not trade najera and boone and sean williams for jeff green hes small forward who is young and good thats who we need gerald wallace is another wacker version of richard jefferson and kiki already said hes not intrested in no deal with the bobcats!

I don’t think that would be enough to get Jeff Green, although I’d love to get him. I don’t think that the Thunder would be really willing to part with him unless they got something decent in return. We’d probably have to include a bigger propsect like Ryan Anderson or CDR not Sean Williams.

LMAO!!! @ thinking we’d get Gerald Wallace or Jeff Green for free.
We need this game. Hopefully Yi continues his solid play

What do the writers want Jefferson to say? I hate Vince and the Nets. Sure he wish them well with his mouth. But we all know inwardly he is paining.
I do wish Jefferson well.

RJ is a good guy, and was a very good citizen when he played for us. But this is a business, and the trade was a good one, ONLY if we use the CAP room in 2010 to make something BIG happen. BOSH OR WADE or both would look very good in a Nets uniform. AND the YI side of the RJ trade won’t really show results for at least another year. YI is still very young, and still learning and becoming a player. He can be better.I wish RJ well, but not tonight. Tonight I want a solid win for us. GO NETS!

Simmons got something to prove, too. Played very limited mins with the Bucks, now a starter in the Nets.

Hey did RJ ever beat that assault charge???

Are the Nets going to play EVERY friday night? I’m being forced to buy Tivo

The Nets have NO shot of getting Jeff Green. The Thunder are building for the future around their 1-2 punch of Durant Green. They’d have to be pretty dumb to move him.
The chances of getting Gerald are better. The Nets can do some serious damage in the East if we can land Gerald somehow. Gerald is a good defensive player who plays with a great deal of intensity. He would be willing to be the 3rd wheel behind VC Devin. I really hope the Nets can make this one happen…it will be hard, but you never know.
Go Nets! Gotta beat the Bucks tonight!
