This weekend, it'll be five years since Rod Thorn pulled the plug on the Net career of Byron Scott and chose a little known assistant named Lawrence Frank to replace him. Since then, every one of the 14 other Eastern Conference teams have replaced their coaches and nearly all of New York's other professional sports teams have done the same. Thorn still likes what he sees in Frank, as do a lot of others.
