
Although Bruce Ratner and his cousin Charles--CEO of the company that owns the biggest chunk of the Nets--continue to express optimism about a Barclays Center ground-breaking this year and David Stern is helping to secure financing, there remain doubts about the arena prospects. Charles Ratner promised Tuesday to "make it happen" but critics' lawsuits and the credit crisis keep intervening.
