Bouncing Off the (Rookie) Wall

Yi Jianlian and Sean Williams were both picked high in last year's NBA Draft, Yi at #6, Williams at #17. Blessed with extraordinary gifts, they excited fans in Milwaukee and New Jersey until, like others before them, they hit the rookie wall. How well and how soon they recover from that collision could go a long way toward determining how well and how soon the Nets recover as well. No doubt they have the talent.

Yi, SW and our other young big men need a good big man coach. Did Thorpe bring in Roy Rogers for this purpose? Would have been nice if we had gotten Camby to show these guys the tricks of the trade.

Go to www.sidelinechatter.com, great story about Chris Douglas Roberts and local New Jersey AAU team awards dinner. Seem like this guy has his head on straight and could be very special.
