Nets Finish Orlando With Comeback Win

The Nets beat the Pacers 107-99 Friday afternoon to finish the Orlando Summer League at 4-1. Jaycee Carroll put the Nets up 99-97 with a three from the corner with a minute and a half to go, and the Nets held on by hitting their free throws down the stretch. The rookies led the way once again. Brook Lopez scored 25 points on 8-of-13 shooting, Ryan Anderson added 20 points and five boards, and Chris Douglas-Roberts 15 points, four assists and two steals. And the three rookies combined to shoot 29-for-29 from the free throw line. Lopez, who led the Nets with 19.6 points per game on 60 percent shooting for the week was named to the First Team All-Summer League, while Douglas-Roberts and Jaycee Carroll were named Second Team.

It’s nice that he can score and all, but he hasn’t grabbed more than rebounds in any game. I don’t like what I see in that

He has to get a double double at least. If he can’t manage to get 10 in one game against guys who probably won’t see the league, can you imagine how we’re gonna get beasted on the boards when the real season starts? It’s not as if Sean Williams has learned to be a rebounding force. So Josh is our only really reliable rebounder
