overton is a good guy … very professional … a real hard worker … don’t know much about his communication and tactical skills … but like i’ve been saying for weeks, thornweghe are replacing sullivan and cartwright with ex-nba players, not with nba wannabes like franky boy

Nice hire. Hard nosed and hard worker like Frank. He will fit. Think they need a big man coach now. How about Lewis the guy who “tutored” Swilliams.

the nets are so worried about frank. its a shame that they are continuing to invest in a coach who will ultimately fail. Its obvious that they just want to get as much out of Lame Frank as possible and minimize their financial exposure. Hopefully by Dec/Jan when we are playing sub 500 ball they will pull the trigger and get him out of here.

Good pick up, now i’d like to see a defensive oriented assistant added as well as a big man coach.

Geo, you mean Lucas
As Overton can teach our guys some things and get them to play better I’m all for it. I really don’t care who comes in, as long as the team benefits from their style.

from everything that I have read, this is Frank’s hire, not Thorn’s or Kiki’s…makes sense as they may have developed a relationship from when Doug was playing for the Nets and Frank was an assistant…but I still enjoy reading NH’s version of reality

@ Newark hawk
This hire will even more expose L for lousey Frank for the fake NBA coach that he is. Maybe we will get a real coach in here by December

It is becoming quite obvious we will NOT have a real NBA coach, never mind real NBA players until the current ownership goes away! Ratner and co. have run the Nets right back into the ground after we were briefly rescued from the NBA abyss in 2001 through the 1st half of ’04.

Remeber when we had a guy named Byron Scott as our head coach? Those were the days, just imagine where we could be now if not for J Kidd forcing him out.

Spartan It’s not just NH’s version of reality – it’s this alternate universe where whatever someone says is true and wishes become real: fantasy world. But if it is said enough, they really think someone will do something about it. I like the draft geek’s column on Frank. Wow, how that busts up this conspiracy theory reality; the dude sounds like he admires and respects Frank! But, in dream world, Frank is nothing….

I think Lucas was hired by the Raptors last year.
