The Chicago Tribune reports Friday that Bill Cartwright recently contacted Bulls GM John Paxson to discuss returning as an assistant coach under Doug Collins. The Nets' big man coach won five championship rings with the Bulls, three as a player and two as an assistant before succeeding Tim Floyd as head coach. Cartwright had applied for head coach this winter at USF, his alma mater.
