Scouting the NCAA
The Nets' chief scout Gregg Polinsky, a former college coach himself, spends most of the winter running around the country looking at college players. He admits having seen NCAA champ Kansas "all year long". In an interview from the Final Four, Polinsky couldn't talk about underclassmen but did talk about what players should do before coming out...and how important first impressions are to Rod Thorn.

near the end of the podcast, did i really hear Polinsky refer to the 1st round NBA playoffs as a 5 game series??? guess he has been too involved in the college game to realize that a format change has been made

I’d pick Blake Griffin or Kevin Love with our lottery pick (I hope they’ll be available by the time we wil have to choose, maybe an 8-11 1st round pick, depending on how lucky we are with the lottery) and Rush, Douglas-Roberts or Lee with the Mavs’ pick.
