There was Jason Kidd's long ago role in the firing of newly minted Coach of the Year Byron Scott and a broad agreement that Rod Thorn had suckered Mark Cuban in February's trade. One Dallas sportswriter called it "a colossal, costly mistake". The series, it seemed, went a long way towards burying Kidd's ghost.
