Game 79 - Nets @ Raptors - Friday, April 11, 7:00

Friday could be the night the Nets six-year playoff run officially ends. A Net loss or Hawk win will eliminate the Nets. Atlanta plays the Knicks in New York while the Nets play the Raptors in Toronto. The Raptors need a win. They're a game behind the Sixers for sixth. Meanwhile, Dallas won and clinched a playoff spot. That means the Nets will have two first round picks in June.

i am a big nets fan i watched every game from 2001- to now and i never had a season like this the loses and the trades.
i love the trade the trade the nets made i love the nets futre point guard .. devin ,, harris i think rod and kiki did a good job. i love dio hopefully they will sign him. i think mo ager will be a fine player in the future. hassel watever nd also i love picks and the cash
their are 2 good things about making the playoffs and 2 bad things.
the 2 good things are 1. you now get a lower pick 2. the end of the season you get to play the youngsters.
the 2 bad things is 1. no expirence fo r the youngsters 2. no chance of wnning champion.
hopefully rod and kiki will make good picks this season and also good moves.
i think the nets should sign diop. boki and maybe darel and maybe see if u could sign and trade nenad krstic in a package deal like marcus krstic jefferson and first round pick for a good player.
go nets!!!!!!!
good luck next season!!!!!!!

Actually the hawks would not clinch a spot because indiana is only 2 games behind them.

You’re right, Mike. As always, Net Income struggles with the math. The Hawks’ magic number to eliminate the Pacers is 3, as Indiana has the tiebreaker. Edited the entry.

I’d say just get as much wins as possible to make it more respectable.
Mavs clinched a playoff spot. We have their picks. Thorn and Kiki better not waste it.

despite the raptors struggling, they are more of a team than we are, are playing home and want to move up a slot in the seedings. i really dont see us having any chance of winning this game. i can easily see this being a quick blowout.
once we are officially out, i hope sean starts the rest of the year and plays through mistakes. vince goes and gets surgery, mo ager gets playing time and RJ keeps scoring (keeps his value high).
the worst thing would be for us to win and atlanta to lose which would give us false hope. we have been bleeding for a while now, i just want the pain to be over. let the kids play and that means let them play a lot of minutes, let vince heal up for next year and just hope we do not get anyone injured between now and the last game.

Not used to all of this losing. And getting eliminated before the regular season ends? What’s this? We’re back to the cellar, boys.
Thanks to Nets management! This all started in 2004.
