Boone Sent Back to NJ

Josh Boone won't be playing in Utah or Phoenix. He was sent home by the Nets to get an MRI on his ankle, seven games after he injured it. Once described as a contusion (aka bruise), the injury has been resistant to treatment. Eduardo Najera, who the Nets hoped could join them, won't. On a positive note, Chris Douglas Roberts progressed enough to warrant playing time in Phoenix...but he gave Keyon Dooling his cold.

oh for crying out loud!
Boone’s injury is that serious? Najera? we need defense. These two are supposedly experienced veterans of a young nets team, and they’ve always been injured. I really think they can be very helpful to this team, but until their healthy, thank goodness that our rookies can play.
So that makes CDR and Swift healthy, so there’s still room for Sean. Here’s how the rotation would work.
Devin Harris/ Keyon Dooling
Vince Carter/ CDR
Bobby Simmons/ Jarvis Hayes
Yi Jianlian/ Ryan Anderson
Brook Lopez/ Sean/Swift
If either Brook or Yi is in foul trouble, Sean could give them some minutes, there’s definitely enough time for him.

@Jim
Nets are 6-0 when scoring over 100 points. So If yur score is right they would be 6-1. I like our chances. GO NETS!!!

Why are injured players who have colds allowed to be around healthy players?
Bone bruises are not necessarily minor injuries. They can be quite serious. Not surprised Boone is not ready to play but wish him well. He’s a consistent, smart player. Just needs a hypnotist to help him with his in-game free throws (he’s good in practice)…

Boone seems to get a different injury every year. Not good.

We do need Najera and Boone. well, maybe not najera but we could certainly use Boone. in this league at this moment, dominating teams ala Los Angeles and Utah have deep and talented benches. is our bench talented? well, they aren’t bad. but with the addition of boone and najera, our bench gets deeper. that way, we can consistently bring in fresh legs who we can depend on.

Sad about these injuries, we are stronger with them both available, and both in practices too. Wonder if the Net’s medical consultants blew the Boone diagnosis. Next problem is, when and if everybody gets healthy, how is LFrank going to divide up the time? When Lopez and Anderson are having to play now, and playing well, when the injured come back LFrank gets to earn his money, having a bunch of big guys pissed off at him….
