Hodge Heads Back to Australia

One player who won't be the Nets' third point guard is Julius Hodge. Hodge has signed a new deal with the Adelaide 36ers of Australia's National Basketball League, according to his agent. Hodge starred with Adelaide last season, averaging 24.6 ppg, 9.1 rpg and 5.9 apg with three triple-doubles. After working out with the Nets all summer and playing in preseason, he was among the last cut by New Jersey.

sad to see Hodge go, but he’ll do well in Australia. Always knew you weren’t going to be our 3rd pg but always never given up on the possibility that you might be on this Nets roster. Hope you do well in Australia, and come back next year, cause right now we could use all the help we can get.
Eddie Gill anyone?

Hard to believe he wouldn’t have been able to help out at the 3 somewhat even if the team didn’t like him much as a third PG, but them’s the breaks. Too bad he got caught in the numbers game.
