Game 37 - Trail Blazers @ Nets, Monday, January 14, 7:30

The Nets will try to get over .500 again Monday when the Blazers come into town. The Blazers, on the other hand, are the hottest team in the NBA, with 17 wins in their last 19 games. Sunday, however, they lost in double overtime to the Raptors, 116-109. Brandon Roy played more than 51 minutes while backcourt mate Jarrett Jack played 48. Roy scored a career-high 33 points and is averaging 19.1 points, 4.6 boards and 5.8 assists for the season. Steve Blake is questionable.

Should be a fun game to watch. I look forward to seeing the Blazers live. A real test for the Nets, but one they should be up to.

Nets win if that coward Vince shows up.

All I have to say is, Carter better start playing. Or there’s going to be a lot more negative comments from me.

by kevin on Jan 14, 2008 10:36 AM EST reply actions

Well Kevin..
I dont really care what you are going to say about VC..and i think most of the people here will agree with me..:)
We know that for some reason you hate VC,but i dont know why !?

All i want is a W ..

Have no fear, Net fans. The Nets will start the game like a ball of fire after one of Frank’s great locker room pep talks. Don’t they always? lol

by newark hawk on Jan 14, 2008 12:41 PM EST reply actions

Zarko read my comment on the Thorn thread, then you’ll know why.

by kevin on Jan 14, 2008 1:16 PM EST reply actions

The key to this game is keeping LaMarcus contained, while keeping SWAT out on the floor. I don’t expect B. Roy to do much against Kidd.

by Special_Delivery on Jan 14, 2008 2:13 PM EST reply actions

I have a feeling NETS will win…lets hope KIKI helped boone with FTs lol

by LeoN on Jan 14, 2008 2:16 PM EST reply actions

@ Kevin
I read your comment there..
The problem with VC is that
1- He is not at 100%
2-He want to get everyone involve as same as Kidd is trying..
3.He is not forcing shots as he used to ..

We all know he should and must raise his level but give him a time..he will be on that level when the team will need the most..in the playoffs..

We must play team basketball ,share the ball ,creating open shots and MAKE them. That is the key..
Last game was so good except the 4qtr, but we are making progres, thats for sure..
Also i loved the atmosphere in the IZOD center…(I watch on tv):)

People say when Carter isn’t playing at 100%, this team can’t win. 2 loses and a win the past 3 games. So is it Carter’s fault then?

by kevin on Jan 14, 2008 4:29 PM EST reply actions

No its not Carter’s fault..

by Zarko on Jan 14, 2008 4:54 PM EST reply actions

@s_d…Roy is the man…he is 6’6’ 229 lbs…that is bigger than VC…he hit for 25 last time he played the Nets…that compares to his avg of 18-19…let’s just hope he is tired and banged up and Kidd is feeling rejuvenated

by Spartan on Jan 14, 2008 5:01 PM EST reply actions

They better freakin win these next two. If they somehow lose to the Knicks for a third time……………..some one can have my season tickets.

by Joe P on Jan 14, 2008 6:21 PM EST reply actions

Blazer fan here, don’t overlook these Blazers. They are NOT the teams of years past that would fold or back down. They will scrap from tip to final buzzer. They play a pretty fun style of basketball and have a slew of guys who can get hot and suddenly go off for 20+.

They may be a bit tired from yesterdays emotional loss in double overtime. But they also might be pretty pissed that they let that one slip away. After running off the 17-2 run the last month and a half, they have figured out they don’t like to lose.

I just wish the game were on TV here in Portland (damn comcast) i would love to watch Kid and Carter taken on the kids from Portland. Should be a fun fun night.

VC WITH 3 SHOT ATTEMPTS……………lol

keep it up frank, your motion offense is really making the nets a better team ;-)

wow, frank is making a role player out of VC- it just blows me away how stupid this coach actually is

by dadi on Jan 14, 2008 8:40 PM EST reply actions
