Puerto Rico kept Saturday's FIBA Americas semifinal close for the first quarter and a half, but the route was on by the middle of the third quarter. The U.S. scored 43 points in the third on their way to a 44-point victory. The win punches Team USA's ticket to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics and puts them in Sunday's final against Argentina (7 p.m., NBA TV & FSNY). Jason Kidd had his highest scoring game of the tournament, finishing with eight points on 3-of-4 from the field, adding four boards and two assists. The U.S. shot an incredible 23-of-36 from downtown, led by Carmelo Anthony, who hit 6-of-7 from beyond the arc and led all scorers with 27 points.
