Still Not Fully Recovered, Ilic Cut from Serbian National Team

After playing backup to Darko Milicic during Serbia's exhibition game schedule, Mile Ilic will not participate in Eurobasket '07. The 7'-2" Net center was cut by Serb coach Zoran Slavnic Tuesday. According to press reports, Ilic has still not fully recovered from the severely sprained ankle he suffered in the D-League in April. Ilic went for 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks last week in Serbia's 96-76 win over China, while helping hold Yi Jianlian to 17 points.
