Nets Sign Hite

The Nets announced Thursday that they have signed Robert Hite to a contract. Hite last played for the Heat and averaged 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Nets in the Pepsi Pro Summer League this July. Hite was dropped by the Heat when they signed Eddie Jones. He completed the season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Previous reports suggested that Hite would be signed to a partially guaranteed contract at the vets' minimum of $687,500.
