Nets Fall to Magic in Summer League Opener

The Nets shot just 40 percent from the field and committed 23 turnovers in their first game at the Pepsi Pro Summer League on Monday, falling to the host Orlando Magic by 11. Rookie Sean Williams started at center, blocking three shots, but also committing eight fouls and four turnovers, and scoring just two points. Marcus Williams led the Nets with 19 points, but shot just 5-of-18 from the field. Hassan Adams recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards, and Robert Hite hit 4-of-5 from downtown. J.J. Redick led the Magic with 30 points.
