Draft Night 2006 must have been quite busy in the Nets' Secaucus war room. It has already been reported that the Nets tried to trade Richard Jefferson for Luol Deng and a pick throughout the first round. Now comes word from a new book that the Nets were also trying to acquire the Sonics' #10 pick that night so they could take Hilton Armstrong. The two sides talked even as the draft was underway. The Nets offered both their first round picks as well as a "future choice".
