The Nets have waived Cliff Robinson, whose defense and outside shooting helped the Nets make the playoffs three straight years and whose drug suspension hurt them in one of those playoffs. The Nets traded for Robinson in 2004, giving up two second round picks. As a Net, the 40-year-old forward Robinson averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 159 games over two and a half years. Robinson ranks seventh in NBA history in games played, 13th in minutes, 33rd in points.
