Cavs Win Ugly Game 1

The Nets and Cavaliers combined to shoot 39 percent Sunday afternoon in Cleveland in a game that neither team led by more than eight points or scored more than 23 in a quarter. The Nets led by two with nine minutes to go, but they scored on only one of their next 10 possessions and a 10-2 Cavs run gave them control. The Nets cut the lead to two in the final minute, but LeBron James got a bucket with 19 seconds on the clock to make it four, and the Nets never had a chance to tie. Vince Carter led the Nets with 21 points, but shot just 7-of-23 from the field. Jason Kidd had 10 boards, nine assists and three steals, but he shot just 2-of-11. The Cavs killed the Nets on the boards 51-37 and had 20 offensive rebounds.
