A Year of Legal Challenges to Nets in Brooklyn Winding Down

It's been a year since New York State approved Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project. Critics immediately mounted legal challenges, putting condemnation proceedings on hold. Now, after a series of courtroom defeats, the critics and Ratner are awaiting word on two court cases that will decide the fate of the Nets' move. If as expected, Ratner wins his legal battles, the new arena should help the team's finances.
