Pundits Ask: Have You Seen Sean?

Al Iannazzone in his blog and Howard Peckham in Sports Illustrated ponder the question of why Sean Williams didn't play Sunday night in Washington. Iannazzone writes that Lawrence Frank would say only it was "coach's decision" while Peckham writes, "it's curious that coach Lawrence Frank left the energetic Williams on the bench." Meanwhile, Frank told the team "stay the course".

He was either late to the team bus, has reverted to his former self, or he is about to be part of a trade and Thorn doesn’t want to get him hurt….

Collins = Worst starting center in NBA history.
Frank = Dumb to start Collins when Collins shouldn’t even be playing in the NBA, never mind starting.

Ok i see that there is only bad things bad comments about Nets all the time ..I mean i can understand the frustration..but i cannot understande that no one believe in Nets anymore..
Just want to ask is there anyone beside me who thinks that the Nets will be much better team this year..Its just a mater of time when they will enter in winning streak.. and will bring the atmosphere back and all the trade talks will disappear..
Believe…
Go NETS !!

—> something is fishy about Sean not playing, if it was simply coach’s decision that I do not know what Lfrank is smoking.

This team obviously does not have enough mental toughness, as they have been down double digits in nearly every single game this year.
Also, great to see Doogie killing Sean Williams confidence so early in the season. If you haven’t noticed, he’s killed the confidence of Wright, Boone, Marcus. The guy never stops. Actually, this whole damn team has no confidence and someone like, I don’t know, the head coach maybe, should be held accountable.
It boggles my mind that we start Stiffins & Allen. Those guys wouldn’t start on the Shawn Bradley Nets.

Sean’s PER MINUTE PRODUCTION dwarfs that of our other bigs.
Per 37 minutes a game, he’s averaging 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, 5 fouls, 56% shooting. But thanks to our wonderful coach, he’s playing under 19 minutes a game. Our other bigs are about 1/3 as productive as Sean, yet they play anyways. No wonder Kidd and Jefferson have been publicly slamming Frank. They’re FED UP with his substitutions, matchups and coaching ineptitude.

I hope the players don’t blame the fans for not showing up.
I believe it is more on the coaching staff. Since Jordan and Byron left it was a different team.
Well, I believe losing Van Horn, Kerry, Harris , Martin, Mutombo also changed the team but did not changed Frank coaching style at all he is still waiting for
someone to rescue him by playing better than Duncan or Garnett so he could be called a good coach. Who could that be, probably Collins. Well I guess we don’t have a choice, I would rather have the NETS lose more without Collins and let the young ones develope. Basketball suppose to be entertaining, it could still be entertaining even if we lose, but with Collins inside it is so boring, boring again it is boring, again it is boring . So who would pay to watch a boring player.

Offer Kidd player/coach for his extension. Give Frank the scouting job. Kidd would be a great coach.

If the Nets are going to lose, I’d rather see Sean Williams play 30+ minutes and make some mistakes, than watch Jason Collins struggle to make a bucket or get a rebound. Let’s face it, the Nets are going anywhere this season.
