Jefferson Leads Nets Past Hawks

Stay connected for news and updates

The Nets weren't exactly sharp against the Hawks Tuesday night at IZOD Center, but they used a 16-4 run to end the third quarter to take control of the game, and while Atlanta gave them a bit of a scare down the stretch, the Nets held on to push their record to 3-1. Richard Jefferson led the way once again, scoring 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting, Jason Kidd finished one point and one rebound short of another triple-double, and Antoine Wright had a big game off the bench, scoring 15 points, including the game-sealing drive with time running down on the shot clock in the final minute. The Nets outrebounded the Hawks by 10 and held Atlanta to just 38 percent shooting from the field.
