Kidd Returns and the Nets Cruise Past Knicks to Finish Preseason

Before Friday night's game, Jason Kidd called this year's Nets "the most talented team that I've been on", then started proving it in his 2007-08 debut at Madison Square Garden. Indeed, the Nets controlled the game from start to finish, finishing their preseason with a 16-point victory over the Knicks. Kidd wasn't exactly sharp and neither were the rest of his teammates, as they committed 27 turnovers. But they out-rebounded the Knicks 52-39 and got to the line 42 times. Kidd finished with 10 points, six boards and four assists in 30 minutes of action, one of five Nets who scored in double figures. They were led by Vince Carter, who finished with 22 points on 8-of-11 from the field.

The Nets need to practice their free throws in order to win the Atlantic. The turnovers are also alarming.

A lot of traveling violations, as well. Found that to be a little weird..

The traveling violations made me wonder if the league has decided to make that an issue this season. Problem with that theory is that I didn’t see the Knicks get called for many, if any.

We’ll see how good the nets really are when they play the bulls on wedneday.

playing ny is not good since the nets get whatever they want without much resistance. the bulls defend. Krstic does not look ready. If Williams can defend, wow, but he was pushed around by curry. Jefferson looked rusty too. and too many turnovers. Boy msg has clyde on a lease, you know he just wanted to say they stink! plus, I wonder if bream gets paid extra for saying the world’s most famous arena. Who says it’s the most famous? I thought the colosseum was the most famous!

Yes but Carter looked great…the defense was terrific and Thomas played his tarters right to the end while Frank played subs and the knicks still couldn’t make any headway.
