Nets Fall to Sixers As Krstic Held Out

Earlier in the day, the Nets said that Nenad Krstic would play back-to-back games to finish the preseason, but instead, he was held out of Thursday's game (just as a precaution) against the Sixers at IZOD Center and the Nets suffered their second exhibition loss thanks to an ugly third quarter. The Nets had a seven-point lead early in the second quarter, but a 17-5 Sixers run gave them the lead for good. In Krstic's absence, Jamaal Magloire got the start and had his best game as a Net, scoring 14 points, grabbing 10 boards and blocking two shots, although he shot just 2-for-8 from the line. Boki Nachbar once again led the team in scoring, going for 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
