George Vecsey (Peter's brother) has some advice for those arena critics who think having a basketball arena named for a foreign bank is heresy: there are better issues out there. In a New York Times column, Vecsey writes that in an age when David Beckham heads west and Kei Igawa heads east, their argument is specious. Besides, he notes, fans will call the arena what they want and the Nets could have made a naming rights deal with Halliburton. Meanwhile, Barclays defends its history.
