Going younger, one would think, would mean going cheaper. But in remaking their bench, the Nets have had to clear out a lot of dead wood and that cost has eaten up a lot of the savings of going young. A NetsDaily analysis of the bench shows the average age of the bench has indeed dropped by three years, but the team has saved less than a half-million dollars. The biggest cost? Jeff McInnis and it has yet to be paid.
