Stay connected for news and updates

Spain and Greece cemented their position as teams to beat in the World Championships when they beat national teams featuring Euro-Nets in exhibition games Monday. Spain beat Serbia 83-62, in Valencia while Greece beat Croatia, 79-54, in Athens. Mile Ilic did not play. Serbia has been hit with a wave of injuries and illness. Zoran Planinic led Croatia in points (11), repeatedly driving the lane, but had a terrible time at the line, hitting only 2-of-7 foul shots.
