New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority voted today to negotiate exclusively with Bruce Ratner on development plans for Brooklyn's Atlantic Yards. The rail yards are where Ratner wants to build a new Nets' arena and $3.5 billion mini-city. The MTA still wants Ratner to increase his bid for development rights over the yards. Ratner bid $50 million for the rights. The MTA wants $214 million.
