Ed Stefanski says that the Nets would not be afraid to use their first round pick on a foreign player that would not play right away. The Nets have been successful in the past with that strategy, waiting two years before signing Nenad Krstic. Christian Drejer, whom they selected in the second round last year, is expected to play summer league in July and attempt to make the roster in the fall.
